Yesterday was our last club for the semester. Christmas Club! It was one of our best ones yet! Over 90 kids came to hang out. We were able to introduce one of our new leaders, Courtney to the chaos and she did a great job jumping right in! Club was filled with snowball fights, tree decorating, rapping about Santa, and eating Oreos off of a piece of plexiglass. Super fun! But most importantly, Jaime shared the Gospel. She told the kids the story of the Prodigal Son and how much God loves them.

CLUB 10/14
For our first club of the school year, we had THE FLOOR IS LAVA club! (Remember that game when you were a kid?) 40 kids turned up to play lava themed games, chow down some pizzas, and listen to the Gospel. We love our club kids. It's so great to see the familiar faces back again this year! And we were so excited that the Titans football players were allowed to come to club before practice. Thanks coaches!

Look out...the floor is lava!
Pepsi vs. Coke: Pepsi won and Jared had to chug a 2 liter!
Lava Eruption...the oldest game in the YL handbook! Who can hold an alka seltzer and sprite in their mouth the longest :)

Tailgate at Tech
We had a super fun YL tailgate before the Tech/Cathedral game last weekend. We served 75 hotdogs, and tons of cupcakes (thank you, Marisa and Rebecca!). A few of the Herron leaders also came with some Herron kids. It was great to have a ton of community support at the game for our boys! They did a GREAT job! Go Titans!

Regional Leader Summit 2010
The Leader Summit was at Cedarmore Camp in Kentucky this year. It was such a refreshing weekend. And the speaker, Crystal Kirgiss was amazing! She really encouraged all of us and reminded us to empty ourselves of us to make room for Christ. The Tech and Herron leaders had some great bonding time, went to some excellent seminars, and enjoyed getting away for a weekend. We all feel renewed and ready to jump into Young Life at Tech and Herron this fall!
On our way! (Thanks MATS, for hooking us up with a sweet van!)

CAMP!!!!
The kids had an AMAZING week at Timberwolf Lake in Michigan! We filled the bus this year between Tech and Herron. Tech took 18 kids and 3 leaders. God is faithful! Thank you to everyone who has supported our students financially and through prayer. It was truly an experience of a lifetime for the students ad leaders.
